It is the sequel to the 1987 game Maniac Mansion. To this day Marcus Comstedt continues with updates to the sourcecode and releases the Dreamcast plainfiles and CD Images available at the ScummVM site.Day of the Tentacle, also known as Maniac Mansion II: Day of the Tentacle, is a 1993 graphic adventure game developed and published by LucasArts. Marcus Comstedt would soon become the official team member supporting the port of ScummVM to the Dreamcast console, the first release for the Dreamcast was ScummVM version 0.2.0 in April 2002. Mark Thomas left the Dreamcast independent community shortly after the ScummVMDC 0.1.1 release.Īt the same time Mark Thomas was porting ScummVM with KOS, Marcus Comstedt was porting ScummVM to the Dreamcast using Libronin, which was another independent development library that Marcus Comstedt had developed alongside Peter Bortas and Per Hedbor. The only other release of ScummVMDC was version 0.1.1 which featured a simple menu based on GhettoPlay by Dan Potter that enabled users to add compatible games for a compilation CD. In January 2002 Mark Thomas was porting ScummVM to the Dreamcast using the independent software development library KallistiOS (KOS), an early preview version of ScummVMDC was released which combined a binary file along with the Day of the Tentacle demo.
